Today's Liturgical Reading by Daily Flash, Goa.
Feast of Saint Damasus I.

First Reading : Isaiah 40:25-31; Second Reading : Psalm 102[103]:1-4, 8, 10; Gospel : Matthew 11:28-30. [Please share today's Gospel.]

First Reading : Isaiah 40:25-31;

25 To whom then will you liken Me
That I would be his equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high
And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number,
He calls them all by name;
Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,
Not one of them is missing.
27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel,
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”?
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
29 He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
30 Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
31 Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.

Psalm 103:1-4, 8, 10;

Praise for the Lord’s Mercies.

A Psalm of David.

103 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion;
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness.

10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

Second Reading : Also read Psalm 102;

Gospel : Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Focus: "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:30)

Fruit: In humility I shall trust God more than my self and surrender my problems to Him.
